The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.

Sue's Story > Wanted: Health Freedom

I usually don't post about political things, but this email to me hit a nerve. I am exercising my right to free speech. This is my story. If you have an opposing view, that is your right, but if you post it here, it may be removed. That is my right here too. I would like to see a Health Freedom Candidate, but...

This is my response to the email:

Dear ... ,

The following statement from your email, prompted me to respond to your drivel.

"Because of what you did, there's a woman somewhere who no longer has to choose between keeping her home and treating her cancer."

I am a cancer survivor of three years and I am STILL waiting for my insurance company to cover one red cent of my treatment. Just where is the woman that you refer to in your statement?

After having consultations with four different facilities in the U.S., I was completely disappointed in the primitive, toxic, barbaric, pathetic treatment so readily available to me here. I started at Green Bay Cancer Center, then went to Mayo Clinic, then Cancer Treatment Centers of America, then a phone consult with Seattle Cancer Center. I learned about the real lack of innovation and progress in cancer therapy in America & that the only plan of care was mastectomy - chemotherapy - radiation - tamoxifen.

When asked about Nutritional management, I was given information amounting to the four food groups and food pyramid I learned about in grade school. The first Oncologist actually said it, "nutritional supplements cause expensive urine." How juvenile & uninformed, bordering on irresponsible. I "get to" have an opinion on this. I am also a Registered Nurse with 31 years of experience.

At the first three facilities, I was literally shuffled through the system like cattle going to slaughter. At least at CTCA, when I asked the silly question of why I would possibly need a Cardiologist for my follow up visits, we were told that "everyone sees one due to the treatment, there is damage to the heart." and "40% of cancer deaths are actually due to the treatment."
I thought I was going to vomit.
That's when I asked about high dose Vitamin C IV Therapy. Then I was told that CTCA was just approved for a study using the Vitamin C, but patients needed to be stage 4 cancer. I was "only" stage 2. So I asked, "so I have to go home and get worse... to stage 4, then I could participate?" Yes, that's right. Nice, isn't it?

I decided to go to a hospital in Mexico. Somewhere that actually cared about getting to the root cause of my disease. Somewhere that concentrated on building up my immunity, cared about my emotions, & cared about removing toxins from my body, and cared about doing meticulous breast conserving surgery. And yes, I could have the IV Vitamin C therapy.
Several months after my return home, my PET Scan & Tumor Marker studies were both better than normal.

Then came the insurance battle. Yes, WPS started out with great lip service. "Sure, we'll cover whatever is usual & customary, after the out-of-network maximum is paid."

They paid none of it.

After almost 3 years fighting it we now have several thousand dollars in attorneys fees added to our medical bills and still no coverage whatsoever to show for it.

So tell me again, what women have really benefitted by your administration? The only benefits I see are big profits to Big Pharma & Insurance Companies, with the FDA, ACS, NCI & Big Government failing to do anything to "win the war on cancer."

I guess if you keep people sick, they are more vulnerable to control, which is what you are all about.

If there us anything to add, it is that the Obama Admin is not alone in perpetuating ineffective healthcare system in the US. It is every other before him also that allowed this to happen, & tied our hands as consumers of a program that best fits our needs, that allows us to get & stay healthy, the "first, do no harm" way.

Yes, I will vote on Nov. 2nd... For someone I can really believe in. I pray that our State sees red in November.

Please take me off of your list.
